Finalist in the Rose City Romance Writers Golden Rose 2015 contest, Chassy Chéri wrote her first manuscript, Scent of Attraction, and is getting it ready to self-publish.
Growing up, she has always loved romance novels. With the creation of e-books, she consumed an exponential number of romance novels compared to her teenage years reading Sweet Valley High and then later, Harlequin books (and that’s more than it seems since she consumed paperbacks like it was going out of style).
In 2013, she decided to write her first novel, and had no idea what she was doing. But with the advice of several author friends like Natasha Nearly, Poise C, and Samantha Marco, and guidance and inspirations from authors like Robin Lovett, Catherine Bybee, Marie Force, and Pamela Clare, she joined Romance Writers Association and her local chapter, Toronto Romance Writers.
With many inspirations in her life, especially the trials and tribulations of her girlfriends, new and old, she captured those wild thoughts that ran around her brain and put it to paper (or the screen of her laptop). The stories are purely fictional, of course, but there are elements of realness mixed in with “how could we take this situation to the next level and add super flare”.
